Like the Clara mine in Schwartzwald, the Lengenbach mine in Binn valley is famous for its richness of unique minerals, mostly sulfosalts. But also the rest of the valley offers lots of minerals due to the huge amount of rock types. Quite some strahlers may be found there every summer, including Dutch collectors. The Lengenbach quarry is still operated by volunteers, but the golden times are over. And you need to be a real specialist to first recognize and then identify all those sulfosalts….so this combined with the fact that nowadays great finds are more rare or at least not frequent when you visit the locality only a few hours I mostly have the more ordinary specimen.
